Free Booze!

UPDATE: See the updated post. Sorry about that!

The guys over at SF.MyOpenBar.com are having a party on Wednesday at the Rickshaw Stop and the hooch is free! Well, some of the time it’s free. There are 2 one hour open bar blocks so you’d better double fist it to get thru the paid bar if you are going on the cheap. The drinks are being provided by PINK Vodka, Newcastle, and Kronenbourg 1664 so if you don’t like those then I guess you’re just shit outta luck but seriously, who doesn’t like Newcastle? Here’s what their press release has to say about it:

SF.MyOpenBar.com wants to give you free drinks, free bands, free DJs, and free toys. Why? Because we love the shit out of you and want you to know it.

Basically, it’s an all-night dance extravanza where you can leave your wallet (well most of it, those pesky bartenders usually like that thing called “tips”) at home and party hearty. And everybody’s welcome: from friends, coworkers, classmates, BFF, fairweather johnsons, to personal assistants, platonic love crushes, butt-buddies, and friends of friends, hell even sycophants. San Francisco: we love you that much.

Where: Rickshaw Stop
When: Wednesday, April 11th at 9pm. Doors at 8pm.
Drink 4 Free: 9:00pm-10:00pm & 12:30am-1:30am

FYI: according to an email sent out from sf.openbar yesterday afternoon, this free boozy event has been cancelled. (text of the email below). Too much of a good thing I guess…

    Party Canceled

    Hello, SF.

We’re very sorry to tell you that the venue, Rickshaw Stop, has cancelled our Launch Party tomorrow. It’s a lot of legal bullshit and nonsense — nothing we could really help; they pulled the plug and that’s the end of that story.

Our Paul Frank In-Store Party is still on so RSVP for it and go there at 7pm.

Again, sorry. We’re planning other stuff for the summer that won’t be canceled so easily — stay tuned. And read our list yo — the list is the real party.

    and the Rickshaw’s statement:

    WEDNESDAY’S EVENT IS CANCELLED.

We apologize for any pain & suffering this causes.

This is due to circumstances beyond the control of the Rickshaw.
