Today when I came home my cat was going nutso in the window. I heard a series of loud chirps that I had not heard before. With all the rain, I haven’t even seen a bird outside in quite a while. I looked out the window and saw a man with a hankerchief on his hand, opening the door of a car. Since I wasn’t sure what was going on, instead of calling the police, I picked up my camera.

Soon I recognized this man as my neighbor, and for the next 45 or so minutes, the poor guy battled with his car’s alarm. It sounded like a beaten bird crying in sorrow – over and over and over again. He was damn determined that if he pressed the remote enough, it would stop chirping. Then the back window went down and I thought he would have lost his mind – yet he had infinite patience. Eventually he got into the car and drove it around the block and came back to park it again and the chirping stopped. Click the image for mindless entertainment.
