Freak Accident on the US101 North Freeway

As some of you might know, in the early morning (about 2:40AM) of March 11th 2006, an accident involving 28 cars on Waldo Grade part of the US 101 North occured, claiming the lives of two women and injuring dozens of others. This also led the shutdown of a section of the US101 North for 11 hours. Cars already attempting that route were being rerouted through Sausalito.

I did not know about this till later that morning, when I was helping a friend shoot infomercials and his models could not show up. They were coming from San Francisco and San Jose, while we were shooting in Corte Madera.

On the way in, I took some footage of the wreck and the traffic jam that pretty much spanned from a little bit after the Golden Gate Bridge up to the 19th Avenue exit.

You mean 2006, right? Not 2004.
