LoveFest Wrapup

http://sf.metblogs.com/archives/images/2006/09/DSC05510-thumb.jpg

Yesterday I raised money for San Francisco Sex Information by volunteering to work the main gate for LoveFest. I drank lots of champage (my b-day weekend), took lots of photos and videoblogged eight short films. My favorite pics and a fave video are after the jump, and you can see my whole album here. Watch all the videos in order for the maximum effect — go here and start at #1. Some images are NSFW and there is drinking in the video, so don’t click if these things bug you.

* Footnote: my personal web site Tiny Nibbles had a server attack today and is down. :( I’m working to get it back up, hopefully by tomorrow morning if I can recover all files and get my blog reinstalled– and the work now means leaving my crappy old host behind, a total move to Laughing Squid (where I belong anyway). All the love in the world goes to Laughing Squid for talking me off the ledge this afternoon!

Can you hook me up with one of those green Lovefest crew shirts?

I shredded mine with scissors and then stuffed it in a mailbox after too much tequila and ritalin.
I’ll forward your email to Carol Queen, who coordinated volunteers.

Violet, thanks for the wrap-up. I hope I met you and you handed me condoms and I smiled at you and said something nice.

I had an amazing day at Love Fest. I missed the parade but made it to the party. The vibe was so open and exciting: a sincerely positive energy buttressed by the thump-thump of the music. Between the great DJs, the vodka/redbulls, and the two boys I made out with, it was definitely a day to remember.

Next year, we should have some dedicated reporters. Not me, though. I’ll be dancing.
