World Cup: North Beach

If you haven’t heard yet, Italy won.

Here’s a few pics from the revelry in North Beach. Lots of happy Italians out there, lots of honking, lots of beer swilling, lots of dancing to EuroTrash music. Steps of Rome was packed and the waiters were dancing on the counter, which is not so different from the other times I’ve been there, now that I think of it. This is Panta Rei, totally mobbed.

Not as bad as Steps of Rome, but still.

Go Italia!

Lots of cars honking and waving flags.

Other businesses were enjoying the crowds. Cafe Divine here had a healthy crowd out on the sidewalk. Mojito and Magnet were also thriving. Grant and Green, believe it or not, has an Italian bartendress and was full of happy, smiling Italians. Go Italy!

I thought Italy’s goalie was awesome.

Wow, tellumo’s shots of Dolores park are intense, makes North Beach’s crowds look pretty tiny.
