It was great to see the SFBC‘s valet service packed to capacity sat and sun at HSB. Even greater to see so many people riding in to the event. Check out the ad hoc parking at the entrance off JFK. It’ll be a great day when this many people ride their bikes to work!

Thanks for the shout out! I worked as a bike valet both Saturday and Sunday at Hardly Strictly.
The SFBC had asked for space for 1200 bikes, but we were given space for 500. With a little tweaking, we were able to fit 700, but we still filled up on both days by 1:30. I’ve been told that Slim’s organizes the event and that they don’t feel any reason to spend more than the bare minimum on bike parking.
If you were one of the hundreds we had to turn away, I apologize. We do everything we can to accommodate as many bikes as possible, and there’s nothing we hate more than turning bikes away. Please don’t direct your ire at us. Most of us are unpaid volunteers taking time to make biking better, and we’re very sorry we can’t provide a free service at a free event.
we would have loved to have parked our bikes at the valet Sunday, but fully understand you were full to capacity. But most definitely not angry that you were full up. Pretty stoked actually. Nice to see so many taking that option!
Oh, and Thanks for the volunteer effort!
