I have been using the 44 bus to go to the Glen Park station when I go visit my family in Burlingame, and vice versa. Sometimes I come home later at night or people visiting me come home from the Inner Sunset at night as well. So even though I don't live there this is a big problem for me too. At this point I'm now worried about letting friends who are visiting from the peninsula take the 44 to GP Bart station - but at the same time that means sending them downtown (ugh). I think it's pretty clear what needs to happen - we need more bad people arrested, but the DA has to step up and come down hard on the petty criminals. Right now we have a system where the smaller crimes are pleaded out or never prosecuted and the word is out. Try this stuff in San Mateo County and there's some serious punishments in store.
