"and a ped if driving/biking"

If only people would actually adhere to that. While commuting home from work yesterday (I take public transit), I tried to cross the street on foot to catch Bart since my bus was stopped by Critical Mass. Those lovely bikers nearly ran me over. Ironic isn't it? People protesting cars who don't mind injuring a pedestrian, an injury that would probably force said pedestrian to start using a car for their commute since said pedestrian would no longer be able to navigate their regular commute path using public transportation with said injury, thereby adding another car to the road and another amount of exhaust being spewed into the air every day. Sometimes I seriously question the logic of liberal SF protesters.

PS-- speaking of picking up dog crap... I saw the BEST thing the other day... a man was walking a poodle at Howard and 8th street, at about... 3pm? He had a baggie on his hand. Literally 4 feet away, a crackie was taking a dump right in the middle of the sidewalk. As you can imagine, crackie had no plastic bag for his waste... They were BOTH scowling at each other. I wanted to take a picture so bad... but somehow I thought they would unify against me if I did ... LOL

I've lived here for 8 years and I've never heard the word "Dodgers" mumbled anywhere, not... once ... I know, it's probably the circles I travel in, but seriously, really? Do people care?

I used to live in Boston. Now THERE, literally, every "fkn Yankees.. Yankee's.. Red Sox. Red Sox." Every day...

Do people here even like sports?

I also have to disagree with #2, Richard, though I wouldn't be so nasty as the poster above. The fact that this does happen with such frequency is just plain bad for the city. Just check out this article from the Sunday Chron about middle-class flight. Nothing good about that.

Replace no. 2 with "Thou shalt get over the idea that this city is a Disneyesque refuge for single twenty and thirty somethings and accept that people both grow up and grow old here. The place we call home is not a pit stop for the most self centered years of your life."
