I'm really looking forward to these coffee stands, especially at Civic Center -- I work at the Main Library a lot, and the cafe there, for all its many virtues, just brews weak coffee. I have these visions of wrapping up a day of work, grabbing a good coffee and then an outbound train, and then walking from Forest Hill station up to my house, sipping all the way...

That's right... You can get a heft fine for being caught drinking on the train. You're allowed to drink liquids as long as you have a seal-able commuter mug. I'm not sure if it's a new concept. I think it's always been that way.

I heard that BART is going to allow coffee on trains now? As long as it's in reusable cups that completely close... huh...
