Think You’re a Local? Neighborhood Quiz

night From an entry in SFist on Pierre Valley, I thought up this brilliant (if I may say so) post. Here is a list of little, somewhat unknown neighborhoods. Do you know them? Could you give coherent, simple directions to them from where you live?
1. Pierre Valley- 2 pts, unless you looked it up from the link above.
2. Anza Vista – 3 pts. Even people who live here don’t know they live here
3. North Point – 1 pt. Kinda easy.
4. Lombard Heights – 2 pts. same goes as Anza Vista above.
5. Excelsior Heights – 1 pt. You may have heard of it, but could you take MUNI there?
6. Dogpatch – 1 pt. Recently well known (hint hint).
7. India Basin- 1 pt. I just like the name of this.

Additions welcome. Locations and scoring after the jump.

Answers:
1. Here is a map, roughly, that area at the end of Church before Glen park.
2. Former famous cemetery, it’s that part between panhandle, pac heights, and western addition. Like, the nice bit of Western Addition, or the skanky part of Lower Pac Heights. Sorry to those who live there :) here is a map.
3. Fort Mason area, the big hill and continuing up against Fisherman’s Wharf
4. The Northern slope of Telegraph Hill
5. Where the view houses are in Excelsior, description of the hill
6. On the T-line, between the Bay and Potrero, and Mariposa to the north. Great bar, and jazz on sundays. Here is a map.
7. North of HP, here is a map.

10 pts: When your nose isn’t in a map, or cruising Craigslist, you’re showing off your knowledge to bored bar patrons everywhere.

7-9 pts: You’ve spent more time looking for a rental than you care to admit. You remember looking pre-Craigslist, and we commiserate with you.

5-8 pts: You have a healthy knowledge, but you’re not quite at the point where your’e directing cabbies on better routes.

0-5 pts: It’s all meaningless, and this is a dumb game anyways.
