Passport Purgatory

I am sooooo glad I renewed mine a couple of years ago. The SF Passport Agency at Folsom and Hawthorne (btw 3rd & 2nd) has had lines down the block for most of the day, everyday for many many months now. Not surprisingly given the current chaos surrounding the issue, I even saw ABC 7 recording a piece there last month or so. (Can you imagine trekking all the way down from Ukiah to wait for 11 hours in this line?! Wah.) Even at lunch and the latter part of the afternoon, that line is snaking down the sidewalk. I work around the corner, and one morning a few months back, I had to be in the office for a very un-fun 6:45AM ‘conference call’. (Thank you east coast time people.) And yes, even at 6:30 in the morning, there were already people camped out with beach chairs by the glass doors. Not the vacation destination they initially envisioned, I’m sure.
