According to the North Beach Aquarium, there's a good chance some semblance of the 15 line will be back by July. Muni is well aware they messed up big time.

My heart goes out the stranded denizens of one of the city's finest neighborhoods, and ironically optionless transit districts.

The people who run the MTA/Muni in SF are obviously incompetent, and most likely never ride their crappy transit system runs except on ceremonial photo op occasions with the mayor.

One thing is for sure, non of them live along the 15 route, and North Beach residents may have to file a class action lawsuit to get it reinstated...

As for the Central Subway, it shoulda been abandoned years ago, but sucking over a billion in taxpayer dough to pay for it is too enticing for these vampires.

Maybe Ed Jew will help yer neighborhood when he gets back into town...

The central subway they are proposing will do nothing to alleviate any of these problems, sadly, and will result in years of disruption as they build a Tunnel to Nowhere.

It would be easier to restore streetcar service (after all, the Stockton Tunnel was built not for autos but for TRAINS) or, at the very least, give North Beach folks more options via the bus. As it stands, getting outta the neighborhood is not quick or easy - and it's not like there's tons of parking for cars anyway!
