Sometime I'll drive north a day earlier and stay at the Air Travel Hotel (http://www.bookandstayinsanfrancisco.com/hotels/air-travel-hotel-reservations.html) for a good nights rest and an early morning flight the next day! Solely the international terminal. What's bad for them is great for the tired traveler - it really isn't ever that crowded. It's nearly zen-like. And there's good food to be found as well.
