Striking fear in the hearts of parkers everywhere
This sight sent a definate chill down my spine, as I strode down California Street, heading towards the cable car.
And I don’t even own a car in this city anymore – but I remember, ohhhh, I remember….
I find that parking on really steep hills helps prevent you from getting a ticket if you are parked for more than 2 hours, plus there is no street cleaning on them.
A lot of the hills in the Nob Hill area are too steep for those pissant little three wheeled bastard freak vehicles.
I noticed a LOT of them in my South Berkeley neighborhood last week, the crazy thing is that it was after 6pm, almost 7!!
it’s as if they lay in wait…. Oh! THEY DO.
I’m hearing the theme to “Jaws” in my head…
I used to park on 17th street near tartine and they are super aggressive like this – clearing the street each morning for hte commute. Oh the memories of setting my alarm to 7:45 to drag ass over there to move the car in front of the watchful eyes of the meter maids. Like jury duty, it was a truly “sf-only ” crowd, well, with a few walk-of-shamers. I love this photo!
i threw a half empty coke bottle at one of those devils once in the western addition and that dude chased me around the block until i lost him about 3 minutes later.
best 3 minutes of my life.
in parking meter terms, thats about 30 cents.
