Wymond and his Spirit Children

Are you looking for something different to do with your Wednesday night this week? Something transcendent, maybe? Ethereal perhaps? You might want to turn your attention to the otherworldly musical eminence of Wymond Miles and his Spirit Children who will be gracing the stage at Café du Nord. What does the music sound like? The online description includes the information that “the songs here are feverish transcendent dreams given now as gifts”. If you head to the MySpace page, you’ll find tracks combining nature-drive instrumentals with Tibetan throat singing vocals. It’s more than just a musical performance; it’s an experience.

The show is a four-band show with the other performers being All My Pretty Ones, Silver Needles and The Parish, so if you’re leaning less towards the magical and more towards the music, you should also be able to get your fix at the performance. The twenty-one-and-up show starts at 9:30 but you can get there up to an hour early to enjoy the ambience that is Café du Nord. It should be quite the San Francisco style show.
