On volunteering: CANWOW

Scrappy at Metropol I don’t know one person who doesn’t volunteer- it’s an epidemic. Advertisement in front of North Beach Library has a guy wearing a t-shirt, in grey with dark grey lettering, very subtle, saying “Volunteering is Hot” (or something to that effect). Where do you volunteer?

Last night, friend came over for a pizza-fueled session creating literature packets- for CANWOW- career advancement networking for women on the web. Do you wonder why the US & Silicon Valley have a a really bad ratio of men:women in the tech sector. So if you’re a woman in tech and you’re interested in knowing what opportunities are out there, head over to Bubble Lounge Wednesday. Free with rsvp to rsvp@sfwow.org or, just show up and pay $5.

I love Fabric8- bought some amazing CDs/t-shirts/toys there. And I love the interior design they did too.

    Get’cher SEXY t-shirt here!

Personally, I’d like everyone who DOES volunteer to get one for free [hint hint].
