A San Franciscan’s guide to New York neighborhoods

Are you interested in moving to the Big Apple–America’s second coolest city–but are afraid to lose the flavor of your neighborhood, access to badass bars, tasty burritos, and solid public transit? Well the Overstated blog is here to help you. They have worked out a sort of translation table of SF neighborhoods to NYC neighborhoods.

For example, if you like the Lower Haight you’ll feel at home on the Lower East Side. If you’re all about the hipster Mission, you’ll love Williamsburg. If the Loin is what you’re used to, well, you might not have the scratch to move to New York, and even if you did you might have to search to find wherever Giulianai hid the Loin’s counterpart.
