Cold Season

Yay- the only real thing I had to do today- besides watch 5 DVDs and drink 3 pots of tea- was just canceled because we’re all sick. I just visited Trader Joe’s for sick food- chicken broth, cranberry juice, scones (comfort food)… and if I didn’t already have a cold, being there would have given me one. A woman was hacking to death over the fresh fruit. Sniffles were everywhere. Some common cold/virus thingie is really blazing through the city now.

    Three words: Instant. Hand. Sanitizer.
    Or: Stop. Licking. Stuff.

Either one works pretty well. heh.

There’s a mean cold going around - lots of stuffy noses, horrible cough - sometimes it gets worse and you need an inhaler. Cough lasts about 3 weeks. I’m on week 3 myself. It sucks! Vitamin C-it up people! (and yes stop licking things works too!)

My folks were visiting with the same thing- for me it started as a harmless bronchial congestion, then went nasal about 24hrs ago. I equate going-nasal with going-postal.

I am in the throes of this crap right now, second week. It started with a scratchy throat then a really bad sore throat for three days with awful coughing and no sleep. Now, it’s in my head and I feel like I am going to have my face blow up. GREAT! One more week of this hell!
