Happy new year
The new year dawned foggy in San Francisco, but it was burning off by mid-morning, as shown in this shot of Bernal Heights.
The Chronicle has news and pix from last night’s civic celebration of the new year; reports from bloggers are beginning to filter in, though if you’re up and blogging this early, you probably didn’t have enough fun last night.
Went down to the Embarcadero/Ferry Building area this afternoon — that’s the site of the civic new year hootenanny. Lots of confetti down there. And lots of fences along the waterfront itself to keep drunken revelers from falling into the bay!
