Do you write snappy dialogue, screenplays set in SF, and like money?
The San Francisco School of Digital Filmmaking is having a screenwriting contest focused especially on San Francisco locales. It’s called the “Six in the City” contest, which makes me smile. All genres are welcome, but the screenplay needs to have six characters and six locales in the city and it needs to be focused on dialogue.
The grand prize is having your screenply produced as a feature film, by Third Street Pictures, makers of such illustrious films as Single White Female 2: the Psycho and, well, that’s all I could find. Runner-up gets $3,500 and a five week filmmaking workshop. Second runner-up gets a free sound stage rental.
The deadline for entries is January 1st, so get typing.
