About a year ago, I stumbled across a link to local cartoonist Lev’s site and lost a few hours of my life thoroughly enjoying his stoic work, and being absolutely captivated by the short films of him drawing on backlit trace paper. Seeing a cartoonist doing his thang is absolutely amazing.

And now he’s the resident cartoonist for sfist! I’m thrilled, thrilled, I tell you!

(Although, I hope he’s having a sexual life AND being a comic star*. Mais non?)

* reference to a fabulous bit of fan mail he received from a Parisian cartoonist after his performances there in 2004.
