A festival for the “green” in all of us
It’s only Monday, but now is the time to start planning for your weekend. Personally, I’ve had my plans set for over a month for this particular weekend. Friday to Sunday comprises the annual Green Festival, now in its fifth eco-tastic year. Held at the San Francisco Concourse Exhibition Center this year, there will be over 100 speakers and 400 exhibitors, featuring the best that the planet-friendly market has to offer, as well as examples and discussions of what’s next (or at least what should be).
With all that is going on during these three busy days, my advice is to check out the schedule online beforehand. Tickets are quite affordable, but if you think you are going to attend all three days, go for the Membership Fast Pass: admission for all three days for 2 adults, unlimited kids under 18, organic Green Festival T shirt (2nd shirt for $10), 10% off at Global Exchange Stores/Booths, memberships to Co-op America and Global Exchange, trial subscriptions to The Nation and Plenty magazines. It is clear that there is no way to see everything the festival has to offer, you’re bound to have one hell of a time here.
