Starting at 8 pm tonight, Howard Street closes between 3rd and 4th until Oct. 28 for some goddamn computer show.

Thank God it’s not baseball season! But how the hell do you get to the freeway?

Alternate routes:

Forget taking 2nd St. or 4th St. in the direction of the freeway. Traffic all around Moscone will be a mess.

To the Bay Bridge (I-80 East):

1. Take 1st St. south and get on the bridge just after Harrison.
2. Take 5th St. or 8th St. south and get in the left lane; turn left onto the ramp at Bryant.
3. Take South Van Ness to the 101 on-ramp at Division, then swing left to the bridge at the 101-80 split.

To 101 Southbound:

1. Take 6th St. south and get on 280; switch to 101 a couple miles south at the junction.
2. Take 10th St. south and then the onramp at Bryant.
3. Take South Van Ness to the 101 on-ramp at Division.
