Motorist Reminder

A reminder for those of you that drive cars…

Check your car’s tail lights and brake lights to be sure they’re operational. I think I’ve seen at least a dozen cars in the past week that had this problem, including my own. It’s hard to be aware of this because, well, we don’t really see it on our own cars when the light’s out.

Oh, and it kinda goes without saying since we’re getting into the rainy season, but replace your windshield wipers. As you can see here, mine are not doing the best job, and I also discovered this morning that my rear window wiper blade has escaped from my car and is gone.

Hope you discovered it before you needed to use it — *Skreek!*

It’s also the gime of year to be getting a tune-up/changing the oil, and checking that your tire tread is in good condition all over each tire, and mind the slippery-slickness as the first big rains come, lifting another dry season’s oil out of the road.

Mm. I’m off to check my rear lights now…
