Show of the Week

I realize that this is California and most of the rap scene is into the bay area (hyphy) sound. But when more than 1/3 of the Wu-Tang Clan is in town and the show isn’t sold out, someone’s got to mention it. Method Man headlines at Mezzanine (Sat. 10/14) along with Inspectah Deck and Masta Killa (all three with new releases out in the past couple of months). Obviously they will each be promoting their new albums, but there are sure to be some Wu-Tang collaborations throughout the night. No offense to Saigon (who was bumped from opening the show only 2 weeks ago), but you really can’t complain about the fortuitous lineup change…
