Vote now: no thinking required!
The time is upon us: less than a month before California’s election day – November 7th. If you are a registered voter; and considering how screwed up this country is, I hope you are; you’ve likely gotten your bulky Official Voter Information Guide in the mail. As the election grows near, there’s one other tradition we are all waiting for: media endorsements. In an unexpected move, both the Guardian and the Examiner have released their lists in the same week. How soon will SF Weekly follow?
The Chronicle’s Editorial Board has arranged live debates between candidates in order to help make its recommendations. They have their first one setup for today for the Attorney General post; tune in to their website at 2pm to watch the organized fight ensure.

election day is november 7th, isn’t it? the 4th is a saturday!
Yes it is that time of the year. You know it when you get a political phone call every other night asking if you would vote for _____ or would you like to take a political poll. In regards to the Govenor race I would like to vote Democrat but I feel angered that I havn’t heard much from Angelides on his stances on issues or plans for improvement. All I keep hearing is Arnold is pro-Bush, I’m against the war and yada yada. All things I like to hear but what I would really like to hear is some sort of solid plans on education and the likes. Also surprised by how many propositions there are requiring bonds. I’m a young voter so I don’t have much of a feel for how things get funded but isn’t the state already in debt and yet more bonds are proposed. Well that was my political rambling I guess. Hopefully the upcoming debate will make it easier to side with Angelides.
Thanks for the heads-up Sharon; what a silly lil mistake for me to make.
no worries! i make mistakes like that all the frickin’ time!
I know just what you mean Ed – I’m 22 and this will be my first voting election. I am taking the time to really delve into what the candidates have said on-paper, in the past, and in-person … a lot for anyone to take in. I know that Arnold has done some good environmental things and I’m all for that, but he recently vetoed the nidustrial hemp bill, so I’m not too keen on him at the moment – http://votehemp.com/PR/10-2-06_gov_veto.html
“No thinking required”?!?! That’s what got us into this mess!
That’s the joke Matt ;)
