Castro Street Fair This Sunday

I’m surprised that no one has mentioned it, but the Castro Street Fair will be this Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm. Come out and enjoy the Castro crazies. With the political season heating up, you can bet there will be plenty of political and community organizations represented at the booths. Other than that and the slew of great shows that are lined up, just go support the heart of the gay universe: the ‘Stro.

Well, I don’t know about the rest of you, but despite the gloomy weather, I had a good time. Saw some cute boys (you know who you are “Summer of 1980”) and a great performance by Varla Jean Merman (truly excellent). I only took a few pics, but I’ll put them on the SF Flickr group tonight.

I hope everyone else had a good time!

it’s the same ‘ol thang every year. the crappy weather this year certainly didn’t help. i think having the fair just a week after the much more exciting and much larger folsom street fair is a bit excessive. lots of similar vendors, booths, you see much of the same people (though i didn’t see the oily masturbator).

they should hold the street fair in late august or early september… space out these events.
