SF Fringe Fest Fun

Where else can you go to see live theatre in intimiate settings with themes ranging from serious political commentary to the radio show adventures of Elvis in space? The Fringe Fest just started on the 6th and I got the chance to see the first showing of the Elvis adventures at EXIT Theatre. The performance was quirky and fun and the actors put their whole hearts in to the scenes. The show was totally stolen by the sidekick kid whose token phrases were “super sweet” and “hella”, reminding me of truly San Francisco style. This series of daily plays runs through the seventeenth and all of the performances cost less than $10 so there’s no good reason not to go support local theatre. There’s something for all ages and all interests. On my list is an English comedy performance and a sighting of a mna pushing a boulder up Powell, Sisyphus-style.
