Dynamic Foot Patrol Crime Map

Thanks to Tharpo for sending this to me today. She got it in her district email newsletter. Yeah, we’re crime-patrol geeks.

Dynamic map of homicides in SF from 2004, 2005.

As of the time I wrote this the Geocities link wasn’t working- for the active Google-maps version.

You can also find more varied ‘crime maps’ through the SFGov website:
    http://www.sfgov.org/site/police_index.asp
    - but brace yourself - I know it creeped me out to see what criminal activity has been happening so close to me…

Despite being crepped out at the thought of knowing just how much goes on in my neighborhood, I went to Nancy’s above-mentioned link and went to the CrimeMaps (http://www.sfgov.org/site/police_index.asp?id=23813).
