A bridge too far

bridge_closed_1.jpgDue to the closure of the Bay Bridge this weekend, I took BART to the East Bay to meet a friend yesterday, and I can report that the train was indeed twice as crowded as it might have been at 10 pm coming back to the city, and that parking around BART and Muni stations in the city was hard to find. The garage I used, near 16th and Mission, had a line of cars waiting to get in when I got there in the morning, and a line of people waiting to get their cars when I picked up mine at night.

Also, Sunday morning around Church and Market — usually lots of spaces are open around 9 or 10 o’clock. This morning — nada. I was lucky to get a parking place two blocks away.
