Hardly… Strictly… Bluegrass!

It’s become a San Francisco tradition! Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is a free musical weekend in Golden Gate Park, and it’s back for it’s 6th year this coming October! The whole list of performers has been announced, and it all kicks off on Friday, October 6th, with a special performance by Elvis Costello & Friends! For all the information and to check out years past, be sure to check out the website. All events and acts will take place at Speedway Meadows, and, like any major event in San Francisco, parking is a hassle. If you want to park, get there early! Last year I drove around near 25th Ave and Fulton for around 30 minutes before I gave up. Bummed out, my friends and I went to the Castro Street Fair instead… no end of fun things to do!

Can’t wait. I’ve been hearing about this for nearly a year. I love bluegrass & country.

Good advice about parking and buses. I drove around the area for 30 minutes, too. Left my car somewhere near Faralone Island (it seemed). Still well worth the effort. A great festival!
