Yerba Buena


I happened across the The Pistahan Festival at the Yerba Bunea Gardens featuring Filipino arts and music. They had some traditional dance and music on the stage in addition to the various vendors selling food and other items. The highlight, however, was up above where a group of older Filipino women were dancing to YMCA by the Village People under a big “Dance” tent. Everyone in the tent was extremely happy and dancing and singing along. You never know what you’ll find on your way to the movies at the Metreon…

    If you had been at the festival on Saturday, you would have witnessed Apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas perform “Bebot” live on stage (just like he did last year) to celebrate the premiere of the song’s video. He was wearing a t-shirt with a sweet design of the Filipino flag. Unfortunately, I didn’t have my camera with me…
