The Be Nice Party

It’s not a political movement, but wouldn’t it be nice if it were?

I went to the Be Nice party at Catalyst last night. It’s essentially a loose coalition of Burners who noticed that the people at Black Rock City are really nice, and who wanted to recreate a little bit of that in San Francisco. I found the prospect interesting, and so it was–even though many of the people there knew each other, it was very easy to interact with everyone. In short, it was nice!

The Be Nice party is held on the second Wednesday of every month from 6 to 11 PM, at Catalyst. No cover, 21 and up, food and cocktails available.

I wonder what would happen if someone was to propose this on the other coast.

Is it just me, or all of the cool things happening in the city on Wednesdays? Or maybe it just feels that way because Wednesday is the one night I can’t go to SF.

How exciting. Will have to wait until I find a free Wednesday.

I’m so lost. Are these the BM people who do the corpse washing?
