Bjork DJ’d at The Stud last night

I was there with the Extra Action Marching Band (who crashed her gig), but I didn’t take the above photo of her at work — photo via thisisjorge. She came out and danced to one Extra Action song before scrambling away tailed by two huge bodyguards.

I heard there was a rumor that she was gonna be djing there last night. But I took it as just that - a rumor. DOH!! I was still finding it hard to believe, despite the reports I heard this morning. So, thanks so much for the confirming photo! (I guess I can only console myself that I caught the Bjork Tribute Night a few years ago at Trannyshack. Heklina in a white latex bodysuit is somehow just not the same… ;-) I’ve been such a fan of her since The Sugarcubes first one. I still don’t know if I have the stamina for “Drawing Restraint 9″ though.

we were wishing that more people knew about it so the Bjork tribute queens could arrive… it would be like, “Where’s Bjork”? the line was around the block for this. I have video of us crashing through the doors with the band but I need to see if it’s even viewable (and oh, my head hurts today, ow).

Matthew Barney’s hour-long deathmetal DJ set was the highlight of the evening for me… but the EAMB was a close second. I’m sure Bjork’s set was good, too, but by the time she was coming on, I was so sick of the crush of the crowd that I took off.

My partner Tim (DJ Donimo of the Stud’s Shadowplay night) and I ended up inside the DJ booth with Bjork and Matthew Barney last night.

Does anyone remember the titles or artists of any of the music Matt played?
