DS in SF

ds_sfmb.jpgThe Nintendo DS Lite was released on this past Sunday, June 11, to the delight of gaming geeks everywhere. The DS Lite is what it sounds like… a smaller, more streamlined version of the popular Nintendo DS handheld gaming system.

Contrary to the belief that all over the country that most stores have the DS Lite in stock, It is currently extremely difficult to find here in the Bay Area. Hmm, could it be the large geek population? ;)

Most online retailers are also out of stock, like Amazon, so the DS is a rare bird, indeed!

Luckily, one is able to search retailers such as Circuit City and Best Buy for individual store stock. The only stores I was able to find a DS Lite at in the Bay Area was at the CC and BB in Pittsburg. I was able to buy it online to pick up in-store later that day, at my convenience (luckily, I had plans to be in the East Bay anyway, because Pittsburg is one heck of a trek). Good thing I did the in-store pickup, for they sold out that afternoon!

Hard to say when stores will be restocked, but at least all the hard-core gaming fans have their fill and you won’t be fighting them if you will be picking one up in a few weeks!

Hello, does the DS lite include the Opera Web browser?

It was rumored it would be included in the Lite release.

    Regards
    Pedro.
