Holy crap. There was a fire at Benders Bar & Grill last night, which is located in the Mission district around 19th street and Van Ness. Several residents lost their homes, plus, well, the bar’s burnt to the ground.

PS. And no, the irony of the Benders logo is not lost on me.

Yeah. I think the fire actually happened late Friday night/Saturday morning. Apparently in the basement. A lot of artwork by local artists was lost as well. Sucks all around. With the intention of blogging about this myself, I took photos of the damage on Saturday.
