Tomorrow night, the independent film festival “Another Hole in the Head” kicks off with an opening bash at Annies (911 Folsom @ 5th, 21+ $10 Cover) featuring several bands and horror shorts playing through-out the event.

The party is the start of a 7 day run of independent horror/sci-fi flicks at the Roxie Film Center (3117 16th @ Valencia) and CellSpace (2050 Bryant @ 18th).

The festival will feature 22 full length films and several shorts that cover the range of classic sci-fi to blood and gore fests with some 18 and over sex thrown in for good measure! Especially if you’re as irked with the flood of old school horror movie remakes that have been been flooding the theaters in recent years. Although I do hear good things about the new Omen remake.
