Later, Albertson’s

Don’t be surprised if your local Albertson’s closes its doors soon. The recently sold chain is closing 31 stores in the bay area. From NBC11:

“One on Capitol Expressway in San Jose indeed is closing. It is one of 31 that will close in the Bay Area. Twelve are in Santa Clara County, five in Alameda County, and two each in San Francisco and Marin and San Mateo Counties.”

There are two Albertson’s on Capitol Expressway, one of which is by my house, so I don’t know which one will close. Not that I really care since I only go to Albertson’s as a last resort. I am thinking this will be like when a bunch of KMarts closed a while back: mildy interesting to see the empty store fronts, but not affecting my shopping.
