I found this on a church in upper haight that’s being renovated. I wonder if the workmen get hazard pay or if they’re just told to run like hell if it starts shaking?

What *are* they doing with this church btw? I can’t even seem to recall a time when it appeared to be actively performing services, etc. Least not that I ever saw. I’ve walked by several times now looking for some sort of notice to that effect. It’s a beautiful building though. I’m heartened to see they’re saving it.

They are converting the church to senior housing. They’ve been planning this for a while, but are finally getting started.
