This Saturday, April 8th, marks the fifth year San Jose has participated in the Great American Litter Pick Up.

Because no one enjoys schlepping around in the rain or mud to pick up trash the number of volunteers is very low this year. This could be a great family experience providing an opportunity to show children a way to care for their community. Kids like rain and mud.

Clean-up: 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. • Lunch: 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. p.m. Lunch is free. Volunteers pick up litter in designated areas on streets, in parks and community centers. Some clean-up supplies provided, though you should bring your own gloves.
