APE 2006

If you’re a fan of the indie press, be it comics, books, zines, or what have you, the Alternative Press Expo is coming back to town this weekend, April 8-9, once again at the Concourse Exhibition Center at 620 7th Street @ Brannan. Featuring panels and a floor full of exhibitors with wares to sample, There’s tons of good stuff in which to partake.

Local comics lounge Isotope will be having an after-party on Saturday night, including the awarding of the 2006 Isotope Award for Excellence in Mini-Comics. Ooh.

    I love APE, but I hate the middle-of-nowhere, can’t-catch-a-bus-there, sketchy-as-hell Concourse. I mean, what, was the Cow Palace unavailable?
