I’m generally the last person to post about sports related events. That is unless there are skateboards or mudwrestling involved. I ran across this website that really made me wish I wasn’t such a programmer and in better shape because this looks like it could be pretty fun. It’s the Sissyfoot Kickball League of San Francisco! I feel that I’ve come to grips with the humiliating fact that I was always picked last for kickball in school and I notice from this bitchin video that a lot of the game seems to be played with a beer in one hand. I feel in this regard I’m perfectly suited to participate. The question is are YOU? The season opener is this weekend in Golden Gate park. They have provided a handy map from the official website for the location. What they fail to provide on the official website is the time of the opening kick. Fortunately someone made a listing on Upcoming and the kickoff is at 1:00 pm.

No, each game is open to anyone that wants to play, we do not have official teams or players so bring as many people as you like. There are no specific rules and gameplay is far from serious, it’s really just an excuse to consume alcohol while running around outdoors.
