The Lone Bench at Grandview Park

Last week I climbed up to Grandview Park which is a few blocks from my house. It’s kind of like the poor man’s Twin Peaks. As you can tell from the lack of crowds it’s not burdened by tourists or just about anything. Great views and a hell of a walk. I’ll link to a full set as soon as I get them all together. Now if it would stop freakin raining in the evening, I’m so there for some sunset or sunrise shots.

How could you mention Grandview Park without mentioning the mosaic steps just 1000′ down the hill? Hopefully, you’ve checked them out because they are a sight to behold for sure. I blogged about them with pictures a while back, you can see that post here:

Oops! I wish I could edit my previous post. Oh well, yeah this is a hidden gem for sure, I walk up there with my wife all of the time. And since you also mentioned getting a sunset up there, I video taped one of the most amazing sunsets through the fog up there last year that almost looks faked when you watch it. You can see that here (sorry for the spam, but it seemed related to your post for sure):

I can’t believe I missed those stairs! I was coming up from the other side and went down the same way. I’ll defintiely be sure to go get some shots of those for the whole set. They look amazing! I’ll have to check out the video some other time. This new Intel iMac doesn’t like WMA so much yet.

Oh yeah, I only have WMV for that, bummer. Sorry, I usually post MOV too, but for some reason didn’t. My bad.
