Have Easels, Will Paint

If you don’t already have plans for this Saturday and you like art, I recommend you head over to 111 Minna and check out the Zen Bullies, hard at work. Zen Bullies is a small artist collective of performance painters who knock out a 6×8 canvas in under four hours. So while you are shakin’ your arse with your friends, they are painting whatever comes to mind. The year-old group is currently made up of three talented local painters making their mark at various clubs around the City - each with their own distinctive styles. BTW, don’t expect rattle-cans or fat-tip markers, graffitti this aint. Also checkout their unique easles that look like something stolen off the back of a PG@E truck.

Upcoming:
Zen Bullies @ 111 Minna, Saturday March 4, 10PM and @ Ruby Skye, 420 Mason, Thursday, March 16, 10PM.
