10 Years of Fierce Lip-Synching

Last night (this morning actually, I guess) was the culmination of 10 years of a club night no one initially thought would last beyond 2 months. Trannyshack celebrated its 10th anniversary in grand style - at its usual midnight on Tuesdays time slot at The Stud. It was a blast to see so many familiar faces from over the years, gathered together to revel in the trashy, glamorous and unapologetic spectacle that is Trannyshack. (From what I remember at least.) Among the special guests were Ana Matronic of The Scissor Sisters and Joey Arias (of Cirque du Soleil’s “Zumanity”). Typically, I got decidedly tipsy, chatting my *ss off and taking a ton of (mostly crappy) photos. Featured is one cool picture I did manage to successfully take, of two of my very favorite performers: Suppositori Spelling (Miss Trannyshack 2002) and Fauxnique (Miss Trannyshack 2003). The event is certainly worthy of a better posting than this, but I’m currently nursing one scorching hangover…
