It’s time for Suicide Girls to once again bring their offbeat brand of hot chicks, tattoos and whipped cream to our fair city. Tonight is the first of 2 shows at The Independent (628 Divisadero Street) on their Second Live Burlesque Tour. I missed the first one and I’m still kicking myself over it. Just in case you don’t know what I’m talking about, Suicide Girls is like Playboy meets Friendster meets Blogspot for people into tattoos and piercings and the whole gamut of punk/goth chicks. Which, I for one, dig quite a bit so you’ll be seeing me there for sure.

Also on the bill is Tsu Shi Ma Mi Re. An all girl trio from Japan who’s name was pretty much made up according to their website. They have a few sample songs that you can listen to before you go tonight. It sounds kind of like Sailor Moon rockabilly-esque. Toe-tappin I say!

So you have hot naked chicks and cute girl band music. How can you go wrong? Tickets are $15 at the door which opens at 8:30. Tonight and tomorrow.

Check out the promo video from their first tour if you want to see more of what goes on at this kind of thing. This link is NOT SAFE FOR WORK OR PURITANS! IT CONTAINS VIDEO OF NAKED GIRLS DOING NAKED THINGS. As long as we’re clear on that here’s the video.

On one hand, I like a good burlesque show as much as the next guy. On the other, has the SG theme outlived its usefulness? Having a tribal tramp stamp and a pierced lip doesn’t make you interesting - in fact, I’d say it shows a complete lack of originality. Every other mall shopper has the same damn markings.

Let’s hope they make up for it in pastie-twirling talent.
