Looking for something to do on this lazy Sunday? Nothing better than a free show, and most especially when it’s one that will make you smile.

Comedy Day 2005 is taking place all afternoon, from noon till 5 PM, at Sharon Meadow in GGP. Comedy Day itself has been going on for almost a quarter century (sounds like a long time when I say it that way, doesn’t it?), and was started for the sheer gratitude that Bay Area comics (and then some) have for the local fans.

Big names such as Will Durst, Greg Proops, Mark Pitta, Johnny Steele, Larry “Bubbles” Brown will be performing, as well as local favorite (or at least mine), Brent Weinbach. It looks to be a very promising lineup, and a lot of laughs, guaranteed!

The event is fairly family-friendly, being advertised as rated “PG-13″. Go enjoy some laughs in the park, perhaps it will help start your week off with a smile!
