In-N-Out Secret Menu

doubledouble.jpg Okay so this isn’t Norcal specific, but since we seem to have quite a few In-N-Out [1] fans over here in the Bay, I thought it would be a service to all In-N-Out fans to know of the much-coveted In-N-Out Secret Menu. And it’s not really a secret since a lot of people know about this anyway, but I figure the Metblogs would be a nice place to reveal these things.

So most fans of the In-N-Out chain already know of the basic menu: the Double Double, the Cheeseburger, the Hamburger, and of course the fries, shakes, and soft drinks. But REAL fans of In-N-Out also know of the Secret Menu, aka food that is not on the menu, but that all In-N-Out chains will also serve, if you know what to order. Shamelessly stolen from this In-N-Out Secret Menu site [2], here is the In-N-Out Secret Menu in all its glory:

  • “Animal-Style” – The bun is grilled with the mustard (I’ve also heard that the mustard is fried right into the patty). Instead of raw onions, you’ll get sauteed onions. You’ll also get extra “special sauce” and pickles with your burger. And of course it also comes with lettuce and tomato.
  • “Wish Burger” – No meat. Basically a veggie burger.
  • “Grilled Cheese” – As above, but with two slices of cheese.
  • “Protein Style” – For the Atkins fans, the burger will be wrapped in lettuce leaf instead of buns.
  • “Flying Dutchman” – Two meat patties and two slices of cheese. Only. For the veggie hater.
  • “Double Meat” – Double Double without the cheese.
  • “3×3″ – Three patties, three slices of cheese. 4×4 would mean four patties and four slices of cheese, followed by 5×5, etc. There’s also the 2×4 option if you want two patties and four slices of cheese, etc.
  • “Fries – well done” – Extra crispy brown fries.
  • “Neapolitan Shake” – Blend of choc, vanilla, strawberry shakes
  • “Choco-Vanilla Swirl Shake” – Apparently they’ll also make a chocolate-vanilla swirl shake.

And there you have it. Gah, now I’m hungry. Oh, and FYI, the lone In-N-Out in San Francisco is on 333 Jefferson Street, though they have outlets in lots of other Bay Area locations.
