Blegging For Ideas
As much as I love, er, tolerate, no, sometimes love, this city, a girl’s gotta get out sometimes - and for me, that sometime is tomorrow as I depart for a road trip to . . . . Omaha.
Sadly, there is no Metroblogging Omaha. Yet, anyway.
But getting there is half the fun, right? Or all the fun, if the destination is Omaha (no, I kid, nothin’ but love for my midwestern bretheren).
To that end - there’s been some posting here lately on podcasts, a iPod feature I’ll admit I completely don’t understand. Don’t know how to use them. Download them. Or find the good ones. (Hey, this place is littered with techies, but I ain’t one of ‘em.)
So my question is: quick, what do I cram on the old pod before I leave tomorrow? Or what about particularly good books available on CD or tape or pod-able form?
Links, people. I need links. My sanity over the next week depends on you, dear readers . . . .

For unabridged audiobooks, http://www.audible.com is the place . . . for podcasts, try the BBC’s “In Our Time” at http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/history/inourtime/index.shtml, Sparkletack’s San Francisco History podcast at http://sparkletack.libsyn.com/rss, and the Austrailian Broadcasting Corporation’s Background Briefing at http://www.abc.net.au/rn/podcast/feeds/bbing.xml.
You’ll subscribe to these either in iTunes or via an RSS NewsReader such as NetNewsWire which handles audio enclosures; if the latter, you’ll need to tell it to automagtically transfer the podcasts into iTunes, and what (if any) playlist you’d like them to be saved into, as well.
