No, actually, I’m not sure why traffic has seemingly increased since June. My best guess is that it’s summer vacation and everyone out of school with a car is probably tooling around the bay because hey, that’s what I’d do in their position. If I wanted to be emotionally and intellectually mature about it, I’d plan ahead for the increased traffic, making sure I leave home with enough time to compensate for it and still get to work at a decent time. I’m trying to do that. I am.
But even though I have no proof that it’s the kids, I still dream of school being back in session. Or a bullhorn. And a monster truck. And maybe one of those bulldozer-scoop things like in that movie where Soylent Green was people and I’m really starting to scare myself so I’ll stop now.
That’s weird - traffic, at least for commuters, is way better now than it will be in the winter/school year. Where are you driving? The fun places?
I wish it were to fun places. :) Nope, this is just going to and from work in the south bay. I’ve seen traffic get thicker since the beginning of June. Even if I leave for the south bay late in the morning, when traffic’s usually good, it’s still bad.
Yeah, I’ve kinda noticed the same, in the opposite direction, since I come from the Valley up the Peninsula. It seems that there are actually more accidents happening this summer… a ridiculous amount of them, IMHO.
